Statement of Need

Improving access to safe and sustainable water and sanitation services is crucial for enhancing people’s quality of life and reducing mortality rates, particularly among children under five. To address this need, professionals must possess the academic knowledge and skills to effectively manage water, sanitation, and hygiene.

In this course, participants will gain a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of water, sanitation, and hygiene and their impact on public health. Through rigorous academic training, they will explore evidence-based strategies to improve access to safe water and sanitation services.

By studying policy frameworks, regulations, and best practices, participants will develop the expertise to design sustainable interventions and promote behaviour change in communities. Their contributions will help prevent waterborne diseases and drive sustainable development in the water and sanitation sector.
